The highlight of the tour is the Evagelistrias monastery. To go to there you have to drive in the direction to Maratho after you left the old reservoir. Yoe will see it on the left side of the road a little below. This monastery is occupied by monks no longer, but a married couple look after it. Ask in the kitchen if they can give you the key to the church. If one of them has time enough, they will go with you and tell you alot about the monastery. After your visit at the monastery Evagelistrias you have to follow the road to Maratho and then you must take the road to Pigi or Avlaki and follow the signs. Then you will find the monastery Theoktistis which is famous for its unique chappel. The monastery is not occupied, but you will find a woman, who will go to the church with you and tells you something about the history of the monastery and the great frescoes inside the church.
