After an extensive breakfast you drive from Armenistis to Nas. The distance is approx.. 4.5 km and the road is unfortunately completely asphalted. That is for cars and mopeds correct, but for pedestrians very boringly. I miss the old crushed stone road very much. Arrived at Nas a break in one of the taverns presents itself. Take a Frappe as strengthening for the next route section. From Nas you have to follow the crushed stone road, which you came. If you watch out well on the way, you can see one of the original ikariotic houses. It is on the left side behind a curve and contains a goat stable. You can go there, without disturbing someone.

The monastery Evangelistrias accommodates monks no longer. But it is not relicted however, because it is maintained by people from the neighbourhood. Nearly all rooms are open, so that you can go inside, watch and wonder, how the monks lived here. Most interesting probably is the small chapel. Here everywhere small, thin boards of silver hang around, on which extremities are shown. Those are oblations for a saint, whose name I forgot unfortunately. This saint is responsible for the fact that injuries at the extremities should heal soon.

If you go to the right at the chapel, then you come on a small place under a mulberrytree. An old mill stone serves as table. Here in this silence you can rest marvelously. You can let your gaze wander over the whole bay, doze in the shade, eat and drink something or you simply let your thoughts flow. There are more photos of the monastery Evangelistrias. You can watch them by clicking the slideshow Monastery Evangelistrias (11 Fotos).
