Nas is a settlement with its completely own charm. It is situated approx.. 4 km west of Armenistis. Nas has approx. 30 inhabitants in the summer and it is situated above a bay, which lets the hearts of beach lovers strike more highly. In this bay the Chalares river flows, and forms at the beach a small delta. The ruin of a tempel of Artemis is situated in the bay, which was very important in the antiquity. Mysterious forces are said to the bay and the temple ruin, what has as its consequence that you sometimes will meet some quite strange people here. Nudism at the beach is not permitted expressly, but it is often practiced and tolerated mostly. But caution, depending on the wind direction, swimming is very dangerous in the bay. There are unbelievable strong currents, which you may not underestimate and which you protract on the sea. You can continue your vacation at Chios after that. Joke aside. Some people drown each year unfortunately, who had ignored the warnings.

Who looks for silence, and whom Armenistis is too large and too loud, is exactly right in Nas. This place offers the surrounding to find calmness and peace. The village Nas is only an accumulation of a few houses and not an real village in a conventional sense. Nevertheless there are some nice pensions and taverns here. You sit outside on the terraces and feel good with your drink and your meal. Who stays long enough will see one of the beautifulest sunsets in the Aegaen sea.

In Nas you can live very calmly and comfortably in the Sunshine apartments of Smaro and Jan Glass. The four approx. 40qm large studios for 2-3 persons are situated in a slope above the village and offer everything your heart desires. Complete kitchen equipment, a large bathroom, Eat- and break area and from the terraces you have a wonderful view over the whole bay. The way to the taverns and to the beach takes only 2 minutes and the distance to Armenistis is also only 4 km. Here you can relax in peace in the best way. Who would like to have further information, can contact Smaro and Jan under Tel. (++30)2275041590, 2275041247, 2275071222 or by email under smaroa@otenet.gr
