Gialiskari is a cosy, real nice fishing village in the neighbourhood of Armenistis, with 160 inhabitants allegedly. I can not believe this number. The village stretchs from its port, over a wooded hill into the wooded slopes toward Mandria. The houses are widespread and it prevail wonderful silence. Directly at the harbour and at the road there are a few taverns, where you can enjoy fresh fish catched daily. Gialiskari is an Eldorado for people, who look for peace in their holyday. There are small, nice pensions with prices starting from 25,- € and the Messakti Village, a hotel, which is situated a little outside of the village at the Messachti beach. To stay there strains the purse much more. The Messachti beach in direct proximity of the village is the touristic magnet of Gialiskari. Such a beautiful beach I saw rarely. It consists of fine grained and clean sand. Because of the strong current of the sea, beach guards watch about the swimmers. There are some beachbars, which offers Snacks, beverages and ice cream. An absolute highlight Gialiskaris is its pictorial beautiful chapel, which stands painted in the Greek colors, on an offshore peninsula. A photomotive par Exelence.
