Evdilos is with its approx. 300 inhabitants the second largest place of Ikaria and more larger than Armenistis. Evdilos has a port, where large car ferries starts every day toward Piraeus and Samos in the main season. In evdilos is much more business than in Armenistis. There are supermarkets, a baker's shop, a pharmacy, a health center, houseware shops, cash dispenser, banks etc.. I think that Evdilos therefore is many livelier and more busier than Armenistis. But Evdilos does not have such beautiful beaches as Armenistis has, so that there is not so much tourism here. There are also hotels and pensions, but those are occupied only in the main season with Greek guests by the mainland. Guests from other Countries you will miss mostly. Nevertheless does Evdilos have its completely own flair. There are a lot of marvelous taverns directly at the port, the people treats you friendly, but you can feel that they wanna keep the distance. Nevertheless a visit of Evdilos is a must for visitors of Ikaria. It is a great pleasure to walk across the town, to rummage in the shops, to absorb the smells and to have a tasty Frappee at the port.
